Longer swim

3,000 yards today. Getting (more) comfortable with longer-distances again. Last week, I bookended Tue-Thu spin/run workouts with swims of 2,000 yards. Maybe, I'll be able to do 3,000 again this Friday.

Total time: 1 hour and 4 minutes and 17 seconds. 500 yd splits:
  • 1st 500 yds: 10:20
  • 2nd 500 yds: 10:33.5
  • 3rd 500 yds: 10:33
  • Water/AccelGel break: 0:29
  • 4th 500 yds: 10:45
  • 5th 500 yds: 10:48.5
  • 6th 500 yds: 10:47

More than a minute and half slower than my PR of 1:02:42 for this distance. However, definitely not bad at all considering I haven't swum this far since June 20.

A good start to a new week.
